    I. Protection of your personal data

    The Public Planning Service (PPS) Social Integration, located at the Administrative Centre Botanique - Finance Tower, Boulevard du Jardin Botanique 50 box 165, 1000 Brussels, is committed to respecting privacy and thus protecting your personal data.

    Our policy on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data is based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (also known by the acronym GDPR).

     

    II. For what purposes do we collect, process and hold your personal data?

    The PPS Social Integration acts within its legal remit as defined in the RD creating the PPS Social Integration of 12/12/2002.

    This data is processed in accordance with the policy described in the above-mentioned GDPR.

     

    III. What personal data do we collect?

    Two categories of data are collected and used:

    •     personal social data;
    •     identifying data.

     

    IV. To whom is your data transmitted?

    The data collected about you is processed confidentially and sent to the bodies legally authorised to receive your data.

    The PPS Social Integration will not disclose personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

    The communication of your data is limited to Belgium.

     

    V. How long is your data held?

    Your data is held for the time necessary for the application of social security legislation.

     

    VI. How can you exercise your rights under GDPR?

    You have the right to request a copy of your personal data at any time so you can check the accuracy of the information held and/or correct or update it. You may also ask for your personal data to be deleted completely if no enquiry from you is in progress. Your request will be considered and processed to the extent that it is not in conflict with a legal obligation/public interest.
    You may also inform us if you believe that your rights have been violated.
    To protect your privacy and security, we will take the steps necessary to check your identity before allowing you to consult, and potentially check, your data.

    VII. What methods are used to avoid abuse and unauthorised access?

    The PPS Social Integration has introduced a number of (physical, electronic and administrative) procedures, which are regularly reassessed and updated, to protect its data against unauthorised access, guarantee security and ensure the correct use of the collected information with a view to its processing.

    The personnel of the PPS Social Integration who have access to information that could identify people are obliged to protect this information in accordance with this declaration on the protection of personal data, and in particular to refrain from using this information for purposes other than the provision of the services they are required to perform.

     

    VIII. Newsletters

    Visitors may subscribe to one or more newsletters via the PPS Social Integration website. Your email address and the language used to visit the website when you subscribe are recorded in a database.
    We process this database in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation.

     

    Some concrete measures:

    •  your personal data is collected and processed only so that we can send you the requested newsletter by email.
    •  your personal data is never sent to third parties or used for direct marketing purposes.
    •  you can request access to your personal data at any time in order to check its accuracy and make any necessary corrections. You can also ask for your data to be removed from the list of persons subscribed to the newsletter. Please contact the website manager on question@mi-is.be if you have any questions or problems.
    • The PPS Social Integration undertakes to take the best possible security measures to avoid third parties abusing the personal data you have provided.

     

    IX. Events

    Our events take place in locations accessible to the public. By taking part in a public event, you are agreeing to photos, videos and other audiovisual material of the event being taken which features you. We use this material to show our events on our website and social media channels. Under no circumstances will we send this material to third parties. The data we collect from event registration forms is used only for the event itself, not for other purposes.  This data is deleted at the latest six months after the event.

    X. Cookiepolicy

    A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on your computer when you visit websites. Information is saved in this text file, such as your choice of language on a website.     We use essential and functional cookies to manage the content of its website. These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of this website. It is not possible to refuse these cookies if you want to visit our website.

    We also use "MATOMO" for analytical purposes. This analytical tool places cookies that we use in order to quantify the visits (traffic) on the website. This allows us to know how many times a particular page is consulted. We only use this information to improve the content of our website or as a basis for a new campaign by determining certain topics of great interest.

    For this analysis tool, we use a Matomo-Cloud, an external partner that has both its organisation and the underlying data centres in Europe and is fully committed to GDPR compliance and respect for privacy. For the use of cookies for analytical purposes, your prior consent is requested. These cookies will therefore only be installed on your device after you have given your consent.
